Monday-Autotalk-How to Decorate Your Car for the Holidays

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday season, you can decorate your car. Most people don't consider decorating their cars because it seems like an unconventional idea. However, most people spend a lot of their time during the holidays driving around in their car, so it's only fitting that you decorate yours. There are several ways you can decorate your car for the holidays. Just like decorating your home, it is important to have a theme. If you have a good theme to go by, you can plan to decorate accordingly.

Tools and Materials Needed:

  • Reindeer antlers
  • LED lights
  • Christmas stockings, small
  • Christmas garland
  • Colorful Christmas balls
  • Small plastic bags
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon
  • Adapter
  • Scotch tape
  • Soap and water
  • Sponge
  • Car wax
  • Rag

Step 1: Contact Local Law Enforcement

Before you start decorating your car, it is important that you get in touch with local law enforcement. Check to see whether decorating or putting objects on the exterior of your car is legal. There are some states that do not allow this, so make sure that you get the go signal before you start to decorate your car.

Step 2: Cleaning the Vehicle

Wash your car thoroughly with soap and water. Let it dry and wipe it with a rag. Apply some car wax. Cleaning the car will make it easier for you to use tape and adhesives.

Step 3: Attaching the Reindeer Antlers

There are reindeer antlers available that can be attached to your car. The antlers come with suction cups that you can attach on each side of the front window. Make sure that the antlers are aligned properly so that everything is centered. The reindeer antlers also come with a red nose that you can attach to the grill of your car.

Step 4: Placing the LED lights

No holiday decoration is complete without some lights. Get some Bgocled LED lights and string them on the ceiling to decorate your car. String the lights from the visor to the coat hooks above the back door. Use an adapter to light the LED lights. You can use scotch tape to secure the strings in place.

Step 5: Decorating the Garland

Start decorating the garland with different colorful balls. Place the garland by the back window where it can be seen. However, make sure that the decorations are not too high, so as not to block your view.

Step 6: Decoration for the Rear View Mirror

Tie some Christmas balls in varying lengths and then tie all the strings together. Hang the balls by the rear view mirror. Place a ribbon to hide the string.

Step 7: Placing the Christmas Stockings

You can use Christmas stockings as trash cans to decorate your car. String ribbon on the stockings and hang it by the back of the front seats. Don't forget to put a small plastic bag inside, so you can easily replace the trash bags.
