Applied Materials, the U.S. plans to reduce the cost of LED R & D MOCVD

U.S. Applied Materials (AppliedMaterials) plans to improve LED manufacturing technology research projects, by improving production equipment, improve manufacturing processes, especially the development of MOCVD to achieve lower production cost target of 40%.

The project plans to invest $ 8,719,000, of which the United States and the U.S. Department of Energy, California Energy Commission will award $ 500,000 and $ 3,994,000 to help fund the project is expected to be completed at the end of July 2012.
